So last night’s SF ghost tour was a lot of fun. I learned all about SF’s checkered preternatural past, including one friendly ghost, once the headmistress of a girl’s school circa 1900 (now a beautifully restored hotel), who sometimes tucks the hotel’s guests in to sleep.
I’ll post pictures soon. Hope you’re having a nice Sunday morning. 🙂
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Thanks for both storage ideas posts, they were so much helpful!
Karen says
Hi Yarisse,
Sure! Do you plan on trying any of the storage ideas from the posts?
Jessica says
I’m thinking about getting my boyfriend to help me just BUILD a storage!! I like keeping things in drawers not on top of counters, so something with layers and dividers would be helpful 🙂
Jessica´s last blog post..MAC and Lush Haul!

Hi Jessica,
Aw, what a nice boyfriend! That’s cool that he has the skills to build something like that for you.
I always wanted to take wood shop classes because I think building is cool… I guess it’s probably better that I never got around to it, as I’m terribly clumsy.
Hope you’re having a nice weekend so far!

Hi Melissa,
Awesome! I love that they are clear so you can see everything inside. 🙂 And the pic of Christina Applegate on the home page is adorable (love her).

hey- Michele here chiming in. el hub is redoing outside around the pool.
i clean my brushes with shampoo. Suave clarity is cheap and works well. Soak them, then rinse well and air dry. Go through old ones and toss.
I stand them up in retired glasses. It gives me an excuse to buy a new set from Target.
Enjoy the sun while it lasts.

Hi Catherine,
Oh yah! There’s one of those up here in the Bay Area. I haven’t been to it yet, though, but I’ve heard it’s super cool.
Karen says
Hi Amanda,
I’ve done that in the past.
One of these days I’m gonna get my Sears Craftsman to store my stash!

Awesome ideas! The fishing tackle box idea is just plain genius!
Yarisse says
Hi Karen!
Well, actually I am going to buy those wooden boxes from IKEA and also make my own brush stands combining a vase and decorative sand, both also from IKEA.
I had another idea before so I spent almost all night searching the internet for a craftstore nearby or online but I had no luck, so IKEA is my chance to finally get my messy collection properly organized 🙂
Didi says
O wow – I totally use tackle boxes for my makeup too! Or craft boxes. I really like the ones from snapware 🙂
isah says
Great post! I’m becoming a more organized person so this was really timely.
I also really like the new look of your blog.
Karen says
Hi Isah,
I need to be more organized, too. It’s a constant struggle. What types of makeup organization have you tried?
Michele says
Has anyone ever gone to the container store? They have some neat cheap stuff. For Jewelry, too!
